As the fight over contraception and access to healthfully-performed abortions continues, I feel that the men making these arguments are missing a big piece of the picture. Yes the freedom for women is an important selling point, but what do they care? They’re fighting to take those rights away anyway. What they need is a selling point they can see a personal gain in. Well how about this: For women to have access to affordable contraception, is not only freedom for women, but freedom for men too. No longer will they have to worry about getting a woman pregnant on accident and then have to be forced to pay child support. It is in every man’s best interest that a woman have access to affordable contraception. If not, he’ll end up paying for it one way or the other…
